Privacy Policy

iCodedThat is run by Keith Willis. This policy covers this website and Studio, the tool iCodedThat uses to publish its own videos to YouTube.
This website
This site has no accounts, forms, cookies, analytics or advertising, and collects no personal information. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses for security, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Studio and YouTube API Services
Studio is a private tool used only by iCodedThat to upload its own tutorials to its own YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public, and no one else signs in to it. Studio uses YouTube API Services. By using it, its operator agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
With the channel owner's permission, Studio:
- reads the channel's name and ID, to check it is uploading to the right channel;
- uploads videos, captions and thumbnails, and adds videos to the channel's playlists;
- changes the privacy setting of videos it uploaded (for example, to make one private).
Studio does not access, collect or store information about viewers or any other YouTube user. The sign-in token is stored only on the channel owner's own computer, in the macOS Keychain. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone. Access can be revoked at any time at Google account permissions.
Watching and commenting on YouTube
When you watch or comment on iCodedThat videos, YouTube handles that data under the Google Privacy Policy. iCodedThat does not collect it.
